Today it was snowing again – like we haven’t had enough snow here this winter. Nora and I decided to visit the Butterfly Pavilion (especially because we have been learning a lot about butterflies). As we walked around, Nora stopped at a bench and asked me where the resting man was. We last visited this place in early December, and at that time a dad was lying on that bench and lots of butterflies landed on him. Nora remembered him from that last visit and was wondering where he was. I wish I had memory like that!

Ma megint esett a ho, pedig mar igy is tul sok esett iden. Norival elhataroztuk, hogy elmegyunk a Pillango Hazba (foleg azert oda, mert mostanaban sokat tanultunk vele a pillangokrol). Ahogy setalgatunk ott, Nori megallt egy padnal, es azt kerdezte: “Hol van a fekvo bacsi?” Utoljara december eleje fele voltunk ott es akkor volt ott egy apuka aki a padon fekudt es sok pillango szallt ra. Nori ora emlekezett, es szerette volna tudni hogy most hol volt. Barcsak nekem lenne ilyen jo memoriam!

Nora showed a lot of interest in gardening last year, so we started preparing for this year’s gardening season. Nora helped me plant seeds (indoors) – parsley and basil. Her daddy came home while we were finishing the planting process and she told him: “Daddy, I’m making flowers!” I’ve also ordered some caterpillars for Nora to watch as they change into butterflies.

Meg nem fejeztuk be teljesen, amikor Mark hazajott, es Nori azt mondta neki: “Nezd Daddy, csinalok viragokat!” Ezenkivul rendeltem Norinak hernyokat, es egyutt fogjuk figyelni hogy mikent valtoznak at pillangokka.

It’s sooo much fun having a daughter! Today she came to me and asked me to put her pigtails in her hair (she got lots of compliments on Monday for her new hairstyle), but then she wanted to comb my hair. It felt so wonderful! I love these little bonding moments with her. When she was done combing me she looked at me me and said: “Mami, you are beautiful.”

Olyan klassz erzes hogy lanyom van! Ma Nori megkert, hogy csinaljak neki compokat a hajaba (tegnap nagyon sokan megdicsertek az uj hajviseletet). Utana pedig o fesulgette a hajamat, ami rendkivul jol esett. Az ilyen pillanatokat soha sem fogom elfelejteni. Mikor kesz volt a fesulessel ram nezett, es azt mondta: “Mami, nagyon szep vagy.”

Nora is 2.5 years old today!!!
Today we visited Hungarian friends in Colorado Springs: Eva and her children, Beni and Jazmin. Eva made a wonderful lunch for us, the children played a lot and we went for a walk too. Nora and I made some homemade chocolate chip cookies yesterday and we took those for dessert. Here are the pictures from today’s visit.
Nora’s hair finally reached the point where we were able to put pigtails in her hair. She didn’t keep them in long but we did take a few pictures of her.

Norika ma lett 2 es fel eves!!!
Colorado Springsbe mentunk el magyar baratokat meglatogatni; Evat es ket gyermeket, Benit es Jazmint. Nagyon finom ebedet keszitett Eva nekunk, a gyerekek sokat jatszottak es setalni is elmentunk. Tegnap Norival sutottunk egy csokis sutemenyt es azt vittuk el desszertnek. Itt vannak a kepek marol.

Norika haja vegre annyira megnott, hogy ket kis copfot tudtunk belerakni. Nem tartotta meg oket sokaig, de azert egy par kepet sikerult rola csinalnunk.

Today Nora’s friends came to us to play. Brody goes to school with Nora and Tate is Brody’s 1 year old brother. They played very nicely together and had a lot of fun. Nora will go to Brody’s house on Monday.

Norika mostanaban surun valt hirtelen temat. Ma megolelt, es azt mondta: Nagyon megoleltelek es megpusziltalak. …. A gorenyeknek budos a pisijuk.

Today was a great day for learning. I learned that my friends get upset when I don’t share the toys.
I also learned how to blow my own nose.
I made some new discoveries, for example: germs make us sick so covering a sneeze can stop germs from spreading.

This morning my mommy told me that she was getting a birthday massage. I told her that she didn’t have to go to a lady to get it, I would do it for her.

Ma reggel anyu mondta, hogy megy egy szuletesnapi masszazsra. Mondtam neki, hogy ne menjen a nenihez, mert megmaszirozom en ot.

We are going to celebrate Nora’s Birthday in Hungary this summer, therefore we’ve invited some of her friends to celebrate her Name Day as well as her Half Birthday with us this morning. 5 of Nora’s little friends came to play, make their own pizza and have some cake. Since the weather was great, we also went to the playground – for the first time since mid-December (when the first blizzard hit Denver). It was a really fun morning.
